Have you done your Yearly Review?

End of Year Review

At the end of each year, I do a Yearly Review.

For me, it's a big part of my self-care, a treat, and I'll get snacks, light candles, and maybe even wear cosy pyjamas (you probably didn't need to know all of that).

So here's how it goes.

* I pull together all the information for the year. Journals, photos, spreadsheets, my goals, etc.
* I look at all that happened and celebrate it.
* Establish what I didn't achieve and assess why.

And I journal about all of this, and what I learned.

And as I'm going, I'll start crafting out my goals for next year. 🎯

The areas I will look at are:

πŸ₯— Health
πŸ’Ό Business
πŸ’Έ Finances
🀝 Contribution
πŸ§˜β™€οΈ Spirituality/Faith
🌎 My Environment
πŸ‘ Relationships & Social
πŸ“š Personal Development

Honesty is key

Of course, this process takes time and honesty, and as usual, there are layers.

For example, the Health category. This year my mental health is in a good place, partly because the decisions I make are aligned with what I value. However, my physical health is not so good. Why? Well, because I didn't do the work I said I would.

What have I learned? That I need accountability.
How? I'm going to sign up with a PT.

I repeat this process for all areas of my life to re-evaluate where I am and what I want.
I look at opportunities I have and what are my next best steps.

Some great β€˜End Of Year Review’ questions

  • What went well this year?

  • Why did it go well? What did you do to set you up for success?

  • Do you want more of this in the next year (this feeds into your goals).

  • What did not go so well? What contributed to this?

  • Do you want to add this to next years goals? What will you do differently?

  • What/who energised you this year?

  • What/who zapped your energy this year?

  • What did you not do because of fear?

  • What would you have done if you were braver?

  • Who are you grateful for?

  • Who did you take for granted?

  • What time/money did you invest in for your growth? What changes have you made in your life based on this learning?

Next step - Goal setting

While doing your End of Year Review, you will become aware of goals you want to set for the future. But often it is hard to go from a thought to a goal to a plan.

Join me for a Live Goal Setting Workshop in November 2024 to learn how to over come this and smash those goals!!
