5 ways I am setting myself up for success in 2025 and how you can too.
As 2025 approaches, I’ve been reflecting on how I want to create a successful and fulfilling year in business. Success doesn’t happen by accident—it’s a result of intentional planning, consistent action, and accountability. Here are five ways I’m setting myself up for success next year, with a bonus tip at the end!
1. Know What I Want to Celebrate on NYE 2025
Before diving into action, I’ve started by imagining what I’ll feel proud and grateful for as I ring in 2026. For my business, that includes milestones like hosting my first Revitalise day retreat, delivering training at Brighton SEO, and seeing both Revitalise and my podcast, The SEO Mindset, thrive. By clarifying these big-picture wins, I have a clear vision to guide my year.
2. Be Clear on What I’m Measuring
Goals are great, but without metrics, they can feel intangible. I’ve defined the key performance indicators (KPIs) for success:
For Revitalise: Client numbers and financial growth.
For the podcast: Listener growth and download numbers.
Knowing exactly what I’m tracking keeps me focused on progress, not just effort.
3. Identify the Actions to Achieve These Metrics
With the “what” in place, I’ve outlined the “how.” My key actions for 2025 include:
Consistent marketing for Revitalise.
Attending events to build my network and expertise.
Recording high-quality podcast episodes.
Writing engaging newsletters.
Developing my website.
Researching venues for events.
Pursuing training to close knowledge gaps.
This action plan ensures every step I take moves me closer to my goals.
4. Map It Out on My Year Planner
To make these actions realistic, I’ve mapped everything on a laminated A1 year planner in my office. This includes:
Business goals.
Major life events like holidays, guests staying over and a few weddings to attend.
Seeing everything visually helps me allocate time effectively and avoid overcommitting.
5. Build Accountability into My Plan
Accountability is my secret weapon for success. I’m sharing my goals with my coach and accountant so they can support and challenge me. I’m also setting up systems to track my KPIs weekly, monthly, and quarterly—keeping me on course and celebrating small wins along the way.
Bonus: Create Systems for Efficiency
I’m streamlining as much as possible to free up time for what matters most. Automating workflows, using templates, and setting boundaries will help me stay productive without burning out.
Final Thoughts
2025 is a blank slate, and by being intentional about my goals, actions, and accountability, I’m confident it will be a year to remember. I hope these strategies inspire you to think about how you’ll set yourself up for success too!
