Do you have a Morning Routine?
Do you want to feel fully charged each day, every day?
If your answer is Yes, then start with a morning routine. We make sure our mobile phones are fully charged each day to ensure they don’t go flat. In the same way, charge yourself in the morning so you can be your best throughout the day.
There has been a lot written and spoken about morning routines - what time to wake up, what to do and for how many minutes. It really depends on you and your lifestyle, but in general incorporate the following 3 areas:
1. Something for your soul, such as prayer and meditation. This will help you feel calm and grounded. Re-connect with a higher power.
2. Something for your mind, such as reading and writing. This will feed your intellect, stimulate your thinking and generate creativity.
3. Something for your body, such as hydration and exercise. This will make you feel energised and ready for the day.
A great book on the topic is Miracle morning by Hal Elrod where he describes a morning routine of an hour described by the acronym SAVERS – 10 mins on each of the following steps:
Silence
Affirmations
Visualisation
Exercise
Reading
Scribing
What ever your morning routine looks like, make sure it works for you, and leaves you feeling charged.
